Nurse Practitioner
Hello!
Komal Thind NP (she/her) focuses on mental health assessment and support using trauma-informed practices. She is here to diagnose and treat ADHD, anxiety, and depression. Komal will collaborate with your primary care provider when needed and is your ally in compassionate, collaborative mental and physical health care.
Accessing mental health assessment, diagnosis, and treatment can be a struggle. Especially for women. Komal is available Sundays to meet with you in our comfortable Guelph office to understand what is getting in the way of your mental well-being.
10 Reasons to book an initial consultation with Komal in 2026:
1- You have questions about how your mental and physical health are connected and you want to discuss with a professional who can consider the big picture, order lab tests, and follow up with you.
2- You don’t want to be rushed. You want to ask questions and understand how your diagnosis and treatment work according to science.
3- Your kid was just diagnosed with ADHD… and the behaviours are… familiar. Maybe you could use some support too?
4- Something feels “off” but you are technically “fine” most of the time. Except when you’re not.
5- You’re aging and want to cut through the noise about health and wellness. You want to have an honest, non-judgemental conversation about modifiable risk factors with a professional so that you understand what habits matter now, and for the future.
6- You don’t feel like other medical providers are listening. Or they tell you to “loose weight.” Or you “just have anxiety and should relax.” Or your complaint is “normal with age…” (what age? 45 or 75?) Or it’s “hormones” but no they won’t refer you to an gynaecologist or endocrinologist.
7- You can’t sleep.
8- You are tired of living with worry and dread. You hide it, but it’s draining the joy from your life.
9- You have a lot of diagnoses but none of the professionals are working together or coaching you through the process of living daily life with chronic illness.
10- You avoid medical providers because of the clinical environment, harsh lights, and the smell of antiseptic. Our office is cozy. We have natural and dimmable lights and two lavender plants. We will offer you tea and water. And time.
