Evidence-informed & Compassion-Centred to Guide
At Navigate Mental Health Services Stacey is the owner and clinical director. Stacey Ivits MSW RSW is a Registered Social Worker Psychotherapist who graduated from the University of Toronto in 2011 with her Master’s degree. Since then she has worked in both public and private clinical services. She began her career in Social Work at the Centre of Addiction and Mental Health in Toronto working in the Concurrent Disorders Program. Following her move to Guelph, she worked in outpatient Eating Disorders treatment with the Canadian Mental Health Association. In 2018 she founded her own practice to focus on supporting individuals struggling with complex needs including: chronic health conditions, trauma, eating disorders, and neurodiversity- especially with those folks who encounter all at once.
Stacey continues to see individuals and families in her solo practice. At Navigate MHS she provides supervision and consultation services, along with clinical direction and leadership to the team.
Develop your Confidence in working with Complexity
Stacey is trained in numerous evidence-based psychotherapy models. She primarily draws on DBT skills, compassion-focused approaches and EMDR in her work with clients. With consultees Stacey encourages moving dynamically between the context of the client and their specific needs and hopes. She encourages clinicians to develop treatment plans that are multilayered and practical to support clients managing multiple concerns.
Stacey offers clinical supervision to psychotherapy students, RP (Qualifying) registrants, and RPs working toward independent practice. She meets CRPO’s criteria for clinical supervisors, so supervision counts toward CRPO registration requirements.
