Find out more about our Nurse Practitioner Komal, Registered Dietitian Amelia, and RSW Psychotherapist Jacquie. Each clinician brings unique professional expertise to help you navigate your mental health.

  • Each clinician at Navigate MHS is trained in a client-centred, compassion-first approach with neurobiological trauma-informed care.

We offer Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Motivational Interviewing (MI), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR), Family Based Therapy for Eating Disorders (FBT), Adolescent Focused Therapy for Eating Disorders (AFT), and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy.

Amelia is our Registered Dietitian and works with you to achieve nutrition related well-being goals. She translates the science of food into practical strategies for daily life for every body. Illness, neurodiversity, and burnout can all impact nourishment. Work with Amelia to create sustainable plans to nourish your healing.

Komal is our Nurse Practitioner who can order diagnostic testing, assess common mental health challenges like anxiety or ADHD, diagnose, and prescribe treatments. Collaboration is key- she does not replace your primary care provider- but instead provides focused, individualized medical support and can advocate on your behalf.

  • We start with collaboration- with you, who you are already working with, your personal support system, other members of our team, referrals to other specialists in the community. We combine the ease of the digital therapy space (online booking and digital payments) with in-person comforts in Guelph Ontario.

We are proud members of our local community and have personal and professional connections across the city. So far, we are the only mental health focused interdisciplinary clinic in Guelph offering Nurse Practitioner, Registered Dietitian, and Registered Social Workers who collaborate for your care. We focus on trauma, chronic illness/pain, ADHD, ASD, and Eating Disorders. And we have the training and experience to help you navigate the public and private care pathways for each.

We also offer hybrid care which means you can choose based on what’s happening in your life to have an in-person or virtual session. You can even switch from an in-person to virtual counselling or a telephone appointment up to one hour before the start of your session for free. Because life happens.

  • You can reach us anytime via our contact page or email. We aim to respond quickly—usually within one business day. And its real person responding. Not a bot.

You can also reach out to your clinician directly through their email.

  • All of our clinicians are highly trained and experienced. Rates are $175/hour.

Depending on services, clinicians may offer 30, 45, 75, or 90 mins appointments. The hourly rate is adjusted accordingly.

It is a fee-for-service model and requires a valid credit card on file to book. There is a late cancellation fee and no-show fee that will be charged to the credit card on file if you fail to provide notice/attend. That said, we offer a flexible “switch to virtual” option for most services up to 1 hour before the scheduled start time in case life happens.

Since services are provided by registered health professionals, digital receipts are provided and they may be covered under extended health benefits. Check with your benefits provider regarding your individual plan. Don’t forget to check with your benefits provider about a Health Spending Account for services that are not specifically covered. We do not direct bill.

  • Collaborative, honest, and straightforward. When everything feels overwhelming, isolating, and serious we are here to organize, connect, and uplift. We hope to provide a space that feels comfortable and professional. We communicate with each other on your behalf so that you don’t have to constantly repeat yourself. We facilitate referrals and advocate alongside you with school, work, or the health care system. We share information and strategies so that you can prioritize your well-being.

If we are not the right service for you, we tell you, and direct you to the appropriate service provider based on your needs. For example- right now we don’t have a psychologist on the team. If you are looking for an ASD diagnosis- you want to work with a Registered Psychologist to get the best assessment and the right paperwork to get the supports you need in school or at work.
